Lady Gaga blocks duet track

Music legend Cher has stated that US pop singer Lady Gaga has blocked the release of a duet track that they recorded together. Recently the sixty seven year old singer donated one of her songs The Greatest Hits to Lady Gaga. They recorded the song then, but the track has never seen the light of the day.

In reply to a fan about the song, Cher wrote: "It's done & she [Gaga] doesn't like it, or want it to come out. She's an artist, it's up to her. I'm disappointed 2 (sic)."

Producer RedOne stated that the track was something that he had worked on with the Born This Way star, but it was unfinished till he played it to Cher.

He told that Lady Gaga and he recorded the track a few years ago, and they were always in the studio relishing that song. It is weird that they never did anything with it. His management and Cher's management were in attempt to get them together, and he thought that he would to meet Cher and so he met her; he played her some songs, and he played her 'The Greatest Thing,' and Cher just loved it. She told that this is her song.

Lady Gaga said that she was happy for Cher to record the song alone, but it turned into a duet track with RedOne's encouragement. RedOne stated that he cut the vocals with Cher first, and he was in Madrid and got a text from Lady Gaga who said that she was thinking about jumping on the song in the remix.
