GAGA GOES FUR-FREE

Lady Gaga, Pink, gary from Metallica, and Mariah Carey have been confirmed as the stars of this year’s People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals [PETA] ‘fur-free and fabulous’ anti-fur ad campaign.

The choice of Gaga will come as a surprise after PETA publicly criticised the raw meat dress she wore to the VMAs, declaring it “offensive.”

But the campaign group justified their decision by pointing to Gaga’s refusal to wear fur, saying: “Her anti-fur stance… has been unwavering. Gaga’s out-there outfits never include real fur.

“Last year, when she wore a dress made of fluffy Kermit the Frog dolls, [she] explained ‘I thought it was a commentary on not wearing fur, ‘cause I hate fur and don’t wear fur.’”

Pink and Mariah are both already well-known for their anti-fur stance, with Pink appearing alongside Ricky Gervais in PETA’s Stolen for Fashion short film.
